“Do the best you can in all aspects of your life, and then let go of it. Regardless of how hard you try, you’re still going to make your share of mistakes. Once you accept this fact of life and put more attention on your strengths than on your weaknesses, you’ll start having more fun than you ever dreamed possible.” – Anonymous
As I get ready to spend the Holidays with my Husbands family, I want to re-focus my efforts, remember my strengths that have helped me thus far on my journey, and most of all have lots of fun!! Fun does not have to equate to too much food...I want to make good choices. I know I can...
That quote from Anonymous is SO true. We can only do the best we can, learn from less healthful decisions and move on!
ReplyDeleteI took a page from Amanda Kiska (Blog is Amanda's Waning) that there are no good or bad foods, just food with more or less nutritional value.
A pound isn't so bad. Even "normal" people might gain a pound during the holidays. A little taste probably kept you on track better than refusing, then binging later, which is what I'm famous for. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteI definitley think the way we react to things makes all the difference in the world.
ReplyDeleteI like a more positive approach for sure. :)
Love this!
ReplyDeleteRemember when I freaked out because I gained a pound Thanksgiving week? Yup, I survived. Life goes on...just because you're banded doesn't mean you can't sample a few things ;) Say it with me....m o d e r a t i o n. :):)
